The library Board of Trustees and staff are excited to welcome Margaret F. Stanton as the library’s new Director. Stanton comes to West Chester having served most recently as the Director of Malvern Public Library. With a rich background in library management and a passion for creating engaging public spaces, she is set to lead the library into a new era of growth and community engagement.
Stanton is coming back to West Chester, where she received her undergraduate degree. She also holds a master’s in library science from Drexel University. Having previously worked at the Phoenixville Public Library, a Carnegie library, Stanton is excited to be back in a historic building, one full of both charm and challenges. She looks forward to working with the staff and board to keep all library services and programs current while maintaining the historic integrity and charm of the West Chester Public Library. Most of all, she looks forward to meeting the many users of the library.
Please join us in welcoming Maggie Stanton!
