Celebrate and give back at our biggest events of the year!

On several summer Fridays and for just $5 per person, West Chester Public Library becomes the relaxing setting for a Happy Hour in the Terrace, featuring a cash beer and wine bar, free appetizers, and a fun evening program. Past Happy Hours have featured trivia contests, a Mark Twain impersonator, Bobby Rydell and other authors speaking about their books, a story slam, and antique appraisals. Tickets may be purchased in advance online, at the library main desk, or at the door.

Don't miss the fun at our next Trivia Night! Test your knowledge in four ever-changing categories. Questions are geared toward adults, teens and older kids. Register to receive a Zoom invitation in your email. Past categories have included Current Events, Philly History, Schitt's Creek, 2020 Commencements, Pandemic Food Trends, Road Trip from Washington State to West Chester, On the Couch with Netflix, and We the People.
Special COVID-19 Format: We're now virtual! Participants will need two devices: one to view the trivia questions via Zoom, and the second to input your answers in the Kahoot! app, which you can download for free. There's no need to register every family member if all are playing on the same two devices, but if a family member is using their own phone or tablet to answer the questions, they should register separately.

The Holiday Home Tour is a chance for area residents and visitors to tour beautiful and historic West Chester homes decorated for the holidays while supporting the West Chester Public Library. Since 2011, the tour has featured borough homes of varying ages and size with a range of architectural styles and diverse holiday decorations. Refreshments are served at the library the day of the tour, welcoming ticketholders to enjoy the library's beautiful Queen Anne architecture and view the five Tiffany-style glass windows featured in our 1888 library building designed by T. Roney Williamson.
In addition to the homeowners who generously open their homes, the tour would not be possible without a group of dedicated committee volunteers and hosts and hostesses.
